The tree is up, the lights are hung, Santa has been talked to (more on that in a minute) & "A Christmas Carol" has been viewed. So far we've brought in the materialistic part of Christmas.... now we can hopefully focus on the real reason we celebrate Christmas!
This year, Isabel asked Santa for crutches. Yes... crutches. (By the way, she also wants Tom to rig her up a cast to go with them.) Tom can hardly stand that she's asking for them.... I however, can totally relate to her. Having never broken a bone, I always envied the kids who did. All the signatures & attention were way too enticing for me. Now let it go on record that I do NOT want her to NEED crutches & a cast.... I merely understand her desire for them. I have outgrown my desire for these items... but as far as Isabel goes... if she's willing to use up her one wish on crutches.... more power to her! Now, I just have to figure out how to convince "Santa" that it's OK to give a perfectly healthy kid crutches.
Max was WAY more interested in Santa's beard. Couldn't stop trying to eat it in fact. I tried not to think about all of the other babies/kids that had been trying to do the same thing that day....(and the past few weeks!) AGH!
Merry Christmas!
