Our first 5k.....
Last weekend Tom & Isabel & I ran/walked our first 5k. It was called the R.A.T. ("Run A Trail") Race
We are here in this picture somewhere. I think that we are still somewhere in the front....that happens when you're first in line. (Doesn't last long if you're not running....)
Now, here's the deal....I am the one who thought it would be a good idea....and it was. But I'm not really a "runner"..... I'm more of a "walk with your ipod blaring until you forget your troubles" kind of a person.
On the other hand, Tom decided to "try to win". What's that about I ask?
Thankfully he decided that the "family" experience was more important than winning.
Isabel had a great time...can't you tell?
We are going to start "training" for the next R.A.T. Race. (Which is code for "we are going to start jogging to the local ice-cream shop instead of walking")
But, shhhh...don't tell anyone. We don't want to set up ourselves for failure.
